Mug Bags

Today we had a little workshop and made mug bags.

Darth Vader beginnings.

Kath has been working on a Darth Vader quilt for her grandson Harrison.  With extra squares and boarders it will look great.

Bowl holders

Bev and Kath made some bowl holders.  They save your hands from getting hot when using a bowl.

Charity Quilts delivered

Late January 2018 we sent off 5 quilts to Monash.


Ellie Made up this panel.

 Annamarie  loves elephants.

Community Matching Fund 2018 -19

We applied for a funding grant and were successful. 

We are to purchase Backing fabric, Batting, Cotton and patterns for 20 charity quilts. Our group will provide the fabric for the quilt fronts and will make and quilt 20 quilts for Monash Children's Cancer Center.

The quilting frame

We had a instruction session for the frame.  Members learnt how to pin and wind a quilt onto the frame.  Annamarie and Robyn C  were pleased with the result.. 
The top was donated by a community member.  They did a fantastic job.

Our usual blog master has been on maternity leave!

Our usual blog master has been on maternity leave and has a lovely little girl Lilly.  Hence our blog inactivity.

We are still very active and meeting on Tuesdays and Sundays.  New members welcome.
Final meet for the year  12th December and we will return in February.

We sit, sew, knit, embroider etc as well a being support for one another.

We provide quilts for children with cancer locally and Monash Children Cancer Center Clayton. All materials and equipment supplied.  This activity happens on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and by individual choice.   Some assistance is available for beginner quilters.

Currently we are holding a raffle to raise funds for fabric and wadding.  Email us if you would like a ticket.  Drawn December 18th.
