Raffle Winner

Lois Manchester of Mansfield was the Winner of our Raffle.

Many thanks to the Mansfield community and visitors for supporting our raffle to purchase supplies to make more quilts in 2019.

Kath has been working on this quilt for her great niece for her 21st

Open Day 9th October.

On October 9th we set up a display in our craft room for seniors week.

Visitors were delighted to see a quilt on the frame, others on display and in progress.   A couple of ladies who were reluctant were pleasantly surprised when they had a test drive.

Red white and blue

Robyn P from our Sunday group made this beautiful quilt using a jelly roll.
Made for a teenager.

I Spy quilt

Lyn H made this unusual Apple core quilt.  It is an I spy for a young child. Great binding Lyn.

Hunters Star

Kath attended a workshop with the Benalla Convent Quilters to learn foundation piecing of a hunters star. 

 

Darth Vader is finished.

Kath has finished her Darth Vader quilt in time for a very special birthday. 
She created a pieced back.

 

Charity quilt on the frame

Robyn K and Annamarie joined in a team effort with this quilt.

The applicque was completed by hand by Robyn and Annamarie completed the top and quilted it on the frame.

Great effort ladies.

We purchased this bundle of Cottons to use making and quilting the quilts.

White cream black for piecing and colors for quilting on the frame. 

Felt work

Lyn H  inspired us all with her felt creations.   Bags, large tea coaster and quilts on display at Easter.  She was kind enough to give us a workshop on making a couple of items.

Today we had a little workshop and made mug bags.
